One of the best things about winter is giving us the opportunity to practice exciting sports in the midst of nature. The Pyrenees are a great choice for skiing. Most of the areas are so close that you can drive it easily and there are many bus and train options that leave you on the ski slopes. For an excursion of two or three days there are great sites at affordable prices. You know, Barcelona 2-3 hours there are plenty of offers to enjoy this sport.

The Cerdanya is one of the most beautiful places in Catalonia, their villages as Bellver de la Cerdanya or Alp retain the charm of mountain villages and its cuisine are the perfect excuse to explore the area.
In the Cerdanya you can find lot of stations: PORTE PUYMORENS, LES ANGLES, CERDAGNE PUIGMAL 2900, ESPACE CAMBRE D’AZE, FORMIGUÈRES, LA QUILLANE, FONT ROMEU PYRÉNÉES 2000, MASELLA AND LA MOLINA.

La Molina is the oldest station in Spain and is one of the stations in the Catalan Pyrenees famous for being the closest to Barcelona. Small and family, has 50 kilometers of track and is located in the municipality of Alp in Gerona. You can get there by taking a train from Barcelona-Pg. Gracia and a bus (15 min) to the slopes, or by car.

Skiing in Baqueira Beret is also an excellent choice, located in the Atlantic Pyrenees is one of the best ski resorts in Spain. It has first class facilities, lots of lakes and large forests (spruce, pine and beech) make this place a wonderful place.

Baqueira can highlight many things, but most important is the amount and quality of snow we will find, plus a full range of accommodation and complementary services of the highest quality. In addition, the Vall d’Aran preserves an artistic and cultural heritage of enormous wealth. And do not fail to taste the famous «Pot Aran.»

Andorra is the country of the Pyrenees, is a little more away from Barcelona but being a tourist area and dumped in winter sports, there are many offers of accommodation + transport to spend the weekend. The villages Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Soldeu el Tarter are part of Granvalira, a station with more than 190 km of track of all levels. Its unique landscapes and magnificent facilities make this region better known ski area in Andorra.

In addition, Andorra is the country of Shopping: Sports, electronics, perfumes, watches, shoes … can be a great opportunity to advance Christmas shopping.

All service stations have equipment hire, tuition and accommodation and transport offers. On its website is continuously updated status and prognosis of snow and in some you can  ind webcam!

Una de las mejores cosas que tiene el invierno es que nos da la oportunidad de practicar excitantes deportes en medio de la naturaleza. Los Pirineos son una estupendas opción para el esquí. Andorra es el país de Los Pirineos, está un poco más lejos de Barcelona pero al ser una zona turística y volcada en los deportes de invierno, hay muchas ofertas de alojamiento + transporte para pasar el fin de semana. Sus paisajes únicos y sus magníficas instalaciones hacen de esta región la zona de esquí más conocida en Andorra.

Correbarri ¿Por quién corres tú?
In Altiro Barcelona we look great this new initiative of Atlètic-Barceloneta Swimming Club and GaudiumSports, it comes the Correbarri, a small marathon, open to all with whom it is intended to involve all areas of Barcelona and become a popular sporting festival.

Do we explain how it works? It is very easy the Correbarri is an athletic career with a distance of 10 km in which all participants are part of one of the 10 teams, each team is a district of Barcelona. Thus, besides compete individually there will be a competition among the 10 districts of Barcelona: Ciutat Vella, Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc, Les Corts, Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Gràcia, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris, Sant Andreu and Sant Martí. I run for… Who do you run for?

You can run through the district-team you want even if you do not live in it, you can choose the one you want! It has a color assigned to each district /team  and with the registration you have a great team-colored shirt you belong, not mandatory but makes the race more fun, so put it on!

Feele pride of the neighborhood where you live, boast the cultural, historic or sporting, identified with a way of being, or simply feel sympathy for some element of the area, are some of the reasons why one chooses to run for district or another. Which one do you choose ?!

Thissecond edition of Correbarri held on Sunday October 13th, 2013 and the start of the race is at 9:30 hours in the Plaça del Mar. The entire circuit is fairly flat and runs through the district of Ciutat Vella and Port of Barcelona, passing landmarks of the city such as Columbus, the Ciutadella Park, El Born or the Promenade. Think that, besides to stay in shape, do sightseeing!

Registration can be done on.line, costs 16€ and the registration is already open (deadline on October 7, 2013 a les 23:59 hrs). All participants will receive a chip to put in the shoe, which will be returned to the organization after graduating and for convenience there is a cloakroom service at your disposal, located on the premises of Atlètic-Barceloneta Swimming Club. Correbarri ¿Por quién corres tú? En Altiro Barcelona nos parece genial esta nueva iniciativa del Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta y GaudiumSports se trata del Correbarri una pequeña maratón, abierta a todos con la que se pretende implicar a todos los barrios de Barcelona y convertirse en una fiesta del deporte popular.

¿Os explicamos como funciona? Es muy sencillo el Correbarri es una carrera atlética con un recorrido de 10 km en la que todos los participantes forman parte de uno de los 10 equipos, cada equipo es un barrio de Barcelona. Así, además de competir de forma individual habrá una competición entre los 10 distritos barceloneses: Ciutat Vella, Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc, Les Corts, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Gràcia, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris, Sant Andreu y Sant Martí. Yo corro por… ¿Por quién corres tú?

Puedes correr por el distrito-equipo que quieras aunque no vivas en él, tú eliges el que más te apetece! Se ha asignado un color a cada distrito/equipo y con la inscripción tienes una estupenda camiseta del color del equipo al que perteneces, no es obligatoria pero hace más divertida la carrera, así que póntela!

Esta segunda edición del Correbarri se celebra el domingo 13 de octubre de 2013 y la salida de la carrera es a las 9:30 hora en la Plaça del Mar. Todo el circuito es bastante llano y transcurre por el distrito de Ciutat Vella y Port de Barcelona, pasando por lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad como Colón, el Parque de la Ciutadella, el Born o el Paseo Marítimo. Piensa que así, además de mantenerte en forma, haces turismo!

La inscripción puedes hacerla on.line, cuesta 16€ y el plazo ya está abierto (finaliza el día 7 de octubre de 2013 a les 23:59 hrs). Todos los participantes recibiréis un chip para poner en la zapatilla, que se tendrá que devolver a la organización al acabar la carrera y para más comodidad hay un servicio de guardarropía a vuestra disposición, ubicado en las instalaciones del Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta. During the last few years, the beaches of Barcelona, and their special features which make them so attractive, have become one of the most popular public areas of the city. Beaches constitute a large open air area where we can come into contact with the sea, the sun and the sand, and all of this is possible on the beaches in Barcelona which are close to home and which can be enjoyed all year round.

The sea has played an important role in making Barcelona an open city, in which peoples and cultures have mixed since ancient times, and the reconstruction of the Maritime Front of the city, begun in the 1980’s, meant a historical change and has contributed to making the beaches part of our daily life.

San Sebastià is the beach most closest to Barcelona city on the Eastern end of the coastline. Together with Barceloneta, it is the oldest and most traditional, with sporting clubs of great relevance for their sea-related activities. All the city beaches a total length of over 4.5 kilometres between the Sant Sebastià and Llevant beaches and are equipped with services for swimmers and users. Also 19 ‘chiringuitos’, 89 showers and 67 public toilets for have funny and don’t worry about anything. Are you ready for a swim?

Barcelona ya prepara sus playas para la temporada de baños

En los últimos años, las playas de Barcelona se han convertido en uno de los principales espacios públicos de nuestra ciudad, con unas características singulares que lo hacen especialmente atractivo. Las playas constituyen un gran espacio al aire libre donde podemos entrar en contacto con el agua del mar, con el sol y con la arena, y todo esto es posible en Barcelona, en unas playas que tenemos muy cerca de casa y de las cuales podemos disfrutar todo el año.

El mar ha ayudado mucho a hacer de nuestra ciudad un lugar abierto, en el que se han mezclado pueblos y culturas desde la antigüedad, y la recuperación del frente marítimo de la ciudad, iniciada en los años ochenta ha significado un cambio histórico y ha contribuido a integrar las playas en nuestra vida cotidiana.

La playa de Sant Sebastià es, junto con la de la Barceloneta, la más antigua y de mayor tradición, con clubes deportivos de gran relevancia por sus actividades relacionadas con el mar. Todas las playas de la ciudad suman una extensión de más de 4,5 kilómetros entre la de San Sebastián y la de Levante y disponen de servicios para acompañar a los bañistas. Además 19 chiringuitos, 89 duchas y 67 aseos públicos para pasarlo en grande y no preocuparnos de nada ¿Preparados para un baño?
