El Bicing es una manera sencilla, práctica y sostenible de moverse por la ciudad y el complemento ideal al transporte tradicional de metro y autobús. En Altiro os animamos descubrir Barcelona sobre ruedas y pensamos que es una estupenda manera de desplazarse: así de fácil y divertido!

El Bicing funciona como un modo de transporte para ir de un punto a otro. En cada estación encontrarás bicicletas que podrás retirar y espacios libres para devolverlas.  Su finalidad es cubrir pequeños trayectos diarios que se hacen por dentro de la ciudad. Por esta razón, los primeros treinta minutos de cada trayecto están incluidos en la tarifa anual de 38€. A partir de ahí, pagas según el tiempo que utilices la bicicleta, con un máximo de dos horas por trayecto. Si tenéis dudas de cómo funciona en la web encontraréis más información.

Para  acceder a este servicio como estudiantes extranjeros que vais a residir unos meses en Barcelona os recomendamos pasar por la Oficina del Bicing, ubicada en la Pl. Carles Pi i Sunyer, 8-10, de Barcelona. El horario de atención al público es de 8:30 a 17:30, de lunes a viernes laborables y allí os informarán de todo.

Lo bueno del servicio es que dispone de muchas estaciones y que está operativo los 365 días del año: De lunes a viernes casi todo el día (excepto de 2h a 5h de la madrugada) y los sábados, domingos y festivos las 24h. También puedes informarte de la disponibilidad de todas las estaciones desde el móvil descargando la aplicación iBicing en la web.

Recordad, el Bicing NO es un sistema de alquiler de bicicletas para uso turístico. Si lo que deseáis es eso, alquilar una bicicleta para hacer una ruta turística o dar un paseo el fin de semana, en Barcelona hay varias empresas que se dedican al alquiler y a las rutas turísticas organizadas en bicicleta.

To access this service as foreign students who are going to live in Barcelona a few months we recommend you go through the Bicing Office, located in the Plaza Carles Pi i Sunyer, 8-10, Barcelona. The opening hours are 8:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday and they will inform you all.

The good thing is that there is a lot of stations and it is operating 365 days per year: Monday to Friday most of the day (except from 2am to 5am) and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 24 hours. You can also be informed of availability of all the mobile stations from downloading iBicing application from the web.

Remember, the Bicing is NOT a bike rental system for tourism. If that’s what you want, rent a bicycle for a scenic walk or take a weekend in Barcelona, there are several companies that are dedicated to rental and organize tourist routes by bike.
